Rachio controllers come in 4, 8 and 16-zone variants and work with most in-ground irrigation systems. (If you use a pump start relay, some additional parts may be necessary.) You’ll also need an strong Wi-Fi where the controller will be installed and a smartphone to set up your schedules.

Yes, most customers can install a Rachio controller in 30 minutes or less without the need of any special tools. To mount the controller you may want to use drywall anchors (included) that require a drill and screwdriver.
