Now I can travel but still water back home!

I split my time at two places and grow potted herbs and veggies. Keeping them watered when I was gone was a problem . Now I set up an irrigation system and can control it with the Rachio valves.

We put down about 6 pallets of zoysia and did not want to spend $$$ on a 4 zoned irrigation system. This solved our problem perfectly. I have two timers that operate two sprinkler heads that come on twice a day for 30 minutes. Prior to that would have to manually turn on and off, schedule around that, etc. now I have the app and the timer is set so I don’t have to remember anything. Plus the app can easily skip a session if rain is predicted. Works perfectly.

Love the Valves

I ordered the bundle, which included two valves and a hub. However, the hub was defective, and it took some effort, with the help of customer service, to identify the issue. They were quick to ship a replacement, and it works great. I have two gardens, approximately 500 yards apart, and these devices have saved us from having to walk to the well, turn on the water, and manually adjust the valves. I'm pleased.

My new WiFi valve works flawlessly. I have it hooked up to keep my pool level constant. Love that I can work it remotely.

The perfect watering system

I rarely review items anymore but when asked to review Rachio timers, I happily agreed. I have four hoses watering different areas of my back lawn. I tried other traditional timers but they were bulky and primitive. It was hard or impossible to set them. However, Rachio’s app based units, which are small and offer a good profile against the house, are convenient because they are accessible by phone from anywhere, organized the schedule formats, easily adaptable to weather, and quickly modifiable to water on off days without disrupting the set schedules. These things have saved me a ton of time fighting with the old systems. I recommend Rachio to my neighbors and others.

Problems solved

This hose timer is excellent. I was looking for a way to keep my pool filled properly and a way that would help me do it both in person and remotely, especially during times of evaporation and us traveling as a family. This has done the trick. You won't go wrong with this product!

I'm certain this is going to be another great product from Rachio. I purchased this product in Dec '23 and its winter here in CO; I haven't installed it yet.
IMO, Rachio is helping to lead the way in modern water conservation.

Wifi issues

Find myself questioning this product. Immediately after receiving the valves I took them apart to check the quality.

A thick conformal coating on the board, beefy wires going to the valve, valve is sealed too. 

The hub however is atrocious. The cable barely plugs into the DC jack. It's constantly falling out. The wifi is 802. 11g which is incredibly unreliable. And at one point I lost all ability to control the valves. 

I would give this a 4 star if this product wasn't so expensive.

Robust valves, hub leaves something to be desired

I recently purchased a two pack. Installation was straight forward and easy to connect. New batteries were installed in both. About two weeks later, I received a low battery warning. I went to put in another set of new batteries and there was water in the battery compartment. I will check it again, but it should not leak.

Leaks

After having to replace the power cord, the system wouldn’t connect to my WiFi. Customer support began with ‘reboot your router’ — this isn’t 2010. Retuned it.

The connection cord is horrible and never works. I've ordered this twice because I thought the first was defective, and paid more only to get the same results—over $190 later.
